We must act now in order to curb climate change. The government have set the country a target of a 34% cut in carbon emissions by 2020. So what can you do to help reduce your carbon emissions? Insulate your home. Home Insulation is the most common form of energy efficiency measures.  It is easy to install and saves money on your energy bills, while helping reduce carbon emissions. That’s not even the best part however, what’s even better is that the government provide grants that can cover some or all of the cost of two different types of Home Insulation.

Home Insulation Grants are available for Loft and Cavity Wall Insulation. You can apply for both or just one, depending on your needs and your property. Grants of up to 70% are available to everyone in England, though the amount you receive depends on your circumstances. Full grants covering the whole cost from start to finish are available to those aged 70 and over. Tenants or homeowners on specific benefits can also receive full Home Insulation Grants, the benefits eligible include income-based jobseekers allowance, attendance allowance, child tax credit, council tax benefit and many more.
