BLC Property Services offer Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Test) to Landlords, Agents and Businesses who need to comply with The Health & Safety Act (1974). We have our own fully qualified and competent engineers who are able to complete Portable Appliance Testing (PAT tests) to the highest standard.

LANDLORDS - All Landlords who let their property as a business activity are required by law to ensure the equipment they supply with the tenancy is safe. The Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 1994 requires that all mains electrical equipment including white goods, cookers, toasters, etc provided in rental accommodation regardless whether they are new or second hand must be safe. We strongly advise that the Portable Appliance Test (PAT test) is conducted BEFORE the start of any new let.

BUSINESSES - A Portable Appliance Test is a essential part of any businesses Health & Safety Policy. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER) requires, ALL employers in the UK to ensure that work equipment is both safe and fit for purpose. For this to be achieved a Portable Appliance Test (PAT test) must be carried out.

Your property or business insurance maybe invalid in the event of any claim without a valid Pat test.

Landlords £39 + VAT (Up to 5 appliances)
(Additional items are charged at £2.00 per test) 

Small £45 + VAT (Up to 20 appliances)
(Additional items are charged at £1.25 per test)

Medium £79 + VAT (Up to 50 appliances)
(Additional items are charged at £0.85 per test)

Large £199 + Vat. (Up to 200 appliances)
(Additional items are charged at £0.80 per test)

Warehouses and workshops £499 (Up to 550 appliances)
(Additional items are charged at £0.75 per test)

 For 1000+ £0.70 per test.

Off Site PAT Testing. By popular demand we are able to complete Portable Appliance Testing at our offices across London. This has proven very popular with musicians and traders. Our offices are open from 8 to 8 Monday to Friday and we always have an engineer onsite. Please simply give us a call and let us know you coming and we can produce the certificate on the spot. There is no additional charge for this service.
